Gwennie's Attic is based on the Channel Island of Jersey and is named lovingly after my late aunt,
who was a great one for keeping everything!
She left behind many years worth of clutter in her house,certain things I had forgotten and some I never knew existed!
With this in mind the concept of Gwennie's Attic was born...
Our aim at Gwennie's Attic is to search for those items that gave so much pleasure,
and see whether the idea is still viable in today's market to those with a 'young heart' or just 'young at heart'
who can find enjoyment in simpler toys and interesting curiosities, where imagination and fun are paramount.
Many have been updated, yet still regain that original feel.
Some have disappeared forever...but they may still turn up in their original state in our 'White Elephant' section
along with an array of good quality second hand items...in fact anything you may find waiting to be discovered in a dusty old attic.
We are expanding the range to encompass a broader spectrum of old favourites
that we believe can be just as successful now as they were when they first reached the shelves.
So that they too can become part of your own personal family history...
The site was forced to close in the spring of 2011, but now thankfully has re-emerged just in time for Christmas!
New ideas, new website and even a slightly new direction for the site will hopefully develop in the spring of 2012,
but the premise, quality and the good value of the original idea will remain!
